COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES
At a Tail's Pace has always prided itself on providing the utmost care for our clients and their animals, now more than ever during these unprecedented times. We must all work with one another in order to keep ourselves healthy and safe.
In response to COVID-19, we have established new policies and guidelines. We know your pets need us and we want to continue to be able to provide the services you trust and rely upon.
We have established a safety protocol recommended by health officials that involves a combination of social distancing, covering our faces, cleaning our hands as well as surfaces we come into contact with while in the home or the workplace. Please leave a bottle of sanitizing spray or wipes for us to use when we visit.
Clients must provide a sink and soap for us to wash our hands. If you are home when we arrive please maintain proper social distancing and wear a mask.
DOG WALKS, PUPPY CARE & PET SITTING
If possible, please leave collars and harnesses on your dogs. Otherwise please leave them near the door we use. We will use our own leashes and poop bags. If you can provide access to your home through a garage or side gate so that we do not enter your home directly, that is preferred. If your dog wears a pinch or choke collar, or a Gentle Leader DO NOT leave it on your dog unsupervised.
Please leave any dry food, unopened canned food or supplies on the counter or near the litterbox for easy access.
NEW CLIENT CONSULTATIONS
As part of our strategy to limit in-person client contact, when appropriate we will schedule client meetings using FaceTime, Skype or Zoom. Keys can be provided to us using a lockbox or may be dropped off at our home base in Costa Mesa.
We recognize that for safety reasons some pets will still require an in-person meeting. We will continue to be available for in-person client meetings however social distancing and face coverings will be required. At our discretion we may charge a $22 fee (the same price as a single 30-minute visit) for in-person meetings.
If you suspect you’ve been exposed to Covid-19 or have symptoms consistent with the illness please contact us immediately to cancel your visits. There is no penalty for cancelling a visit due to COVID-19. You can cancel by phone, email or text.
